Great Gable Remembrance Sunday Weekend...
by Carpe Diem!I know that some of you are still there in that marvellous Borrowdale Hostel, but huge thanks are due to Kate for organising such a vibrant weekend, full of friendship and warmth. There was such a communal feeling at Great Gable's summit yesterday, which helped to combat the cold!
Thanks, also, to Stephen for leading the Glaramara walk on Saturday - one of the best Lakes walks I've ever been on.
It was lovely to see everyone and to make some new OD friends. Perfect!

on 13/11/17 @ 12:59Oh and a special thanks to Stephen for his knowledge and mountain skill, guiding a select pair of us from Honister on a route which ended with a 150 foot, three point contact, scramble up slippy snow covered rock.... I loved it!!

Yes ... how could I have missed Trekkie out of my thanks. I agree with others, Len was always looking out quietly for others and used his experience of the area invaluable. Really appreciated! 🙂

SpSpringMy first OD weekend for a very long time, enjoyed every minute. Good to meet friends old and new. Thanks to Kate for impeccable organisation, as always, and Stephen for the walks we did on Friday, Saturday and Monday, and to everyone for being there to share special times. Magnificent views across Lakeland and beyond all weekend and a dusting of snow, what more could a girl want?
