ResultsInvite reset, and reminder about the site's purpose

I am saddened that a new member, and the first member under 40 to post a meet since ... errr ... never has faced a rather nasty set of comments from those old enough to know better. Can I remind people of the old fashioned rules of politeness and consideration of others. ☹
I have decided to reset the "Wales Scrambling Weekend *Under 30's*" meet and remind you all that this is a singles dating as well as a friendship site; the "dating game" is by its very nature both ageist and sexist. It is also natural from time to time to want to be with others who have similar life experiences to you and be at a similar stage in life to you. That's human nature. Also, if I may remind you what it says on the Invites etiquette page,
"An Invitation is created by the poster. It is their invitation. They set the rules. They are the boss. We don't have anything to do with what is arranged, where and for whom."

Thank you for those who were positive, and defenders. I hope we don't lose our on only under 40s Invite poster so far.
on 31/03/21 @ 11:47Its great that there are so many Invites that welcome all. It would be also acceptable to have a "family" meet, a "no dogs" meet (some people have real issues with dogs, even the nice ones) and so on. Clearly I would be against threads with a *no green lizard aliens fron Zargon 5* tag line as this would clearly be "lizardist". 😉
Its also great that so many people have, as John (top_spot) said,
"... met lifelong friends and partners through the site and I hope that, despite what has been said during these last few days, you will find people to have adventures/friendship/romance with."
I am sure Lazlo didn't mean to kick up a storm with the opening comment, and was just expressing a concern. Its amazing how quickly some threads explode from an initial comment 😮. Remember that comments are "black and white" without the nuance of facial expressions and body language and can end up appearing harsher than was meant.
Lets all walk/scramble/climb/MTB into a lockdown free spring 😀😎👍
