Thanks for organising which wasn't helped by lack of phone signal.
Saturday was hard but the scenery stunning while below cloud base. We almost made it to the top but didn't see the point as you couldn't see anything and it was chucking it down. Sunday was beautiful after the early rain until after our pub dinner at Santon Bridge when it decided to give us a good send off. We missed the torrential down pour by half an hour though. Thanks to Penny for leading this one.

Thanks to all those joining me on this weekend, i think we did very well getting up to 3 Tarns on Saturday, but as you said Doug not worth the effort going further, that said, an enjoyable day in one of lakelands little trodden valleys.
HHelvellyn40Sunday's walk was mostly dry, and the first walk i'v done where we had dinner before the walk was finished, thanks for leading the walk Penny, and also thanks to Sheila for the hot chocolate and allowing us to shelter in your awning on Sunday evening as the torrential rain battered the campsite.
