Piel Island trip - thanks to Salty
by TCHad an amazing (and eventful) 24 hours or so on Benita with Salty McSaltface, Flat Cap Mike and Lazlo Woodbine. We did not get onto Piel Island as the sea wasn't playing nicely but we did moor up overnight with a view of the castle and pub! Beautiful sunset and sunrise, some seals, great views, lots of wind turbines and I learnt a bit about sailing. But..... I was a bit seasick, and I don't think I would cope well with being out at sea for days on end.
Thanks Captain McSaltface and crew.

I would like to thank Cap'n Salty for his expertise and Benita for her sea worthiness. Quite an adventure in the end. Have discovered a new respect to the mariners of old who sailed far further in wooden ships, no engines, satnavs, automatic steering, radios or computers.
LWLazlo WoodbineI really enjoyed sailing with Flatcap, Lazlo and TC.
SMSaltyMcSaltfaceGreat company, very adaptable.

Great trip, many thanks to our Captain and the other crew members for a memorable time. Pity about the strengthening winds and the resulting change of plans, but Nick definitely made the best of it.
