Hey PP You should know this "Cadair Idris by the Pony Path uses the former pony route. The route continues over Mynydd Moel and Gau Craig offering an excellent ridge walk." lol
on 24/01/11 @ 17:53Shame I can't do this. It brings back fond memories when my Father-in-Law was alive and we stayed at the hotel with the lake at the foot of the Cadir Idris Have fun
Right on my doorstep, wish I could make it,sorry, Work overload this weekend.Enjoy
MGM Gwould love to have joined you for this, have very vivid memories of the day we climbed Cadair Idris (and slid down the scree) from when I was 6! Will you be doing it again in the summer?
RARainbowAnneTMIW - I'm a South Wales PP never explored "The North" much nor understood the language either!! Lol. North Wales is on my list though, I will have a chat with Rourkes Drift as I fancy Pony Path - bring back soppy thoughts I'm sure. I do enjoy ridge walks - makes me want to big neigh!! Maybe a looksee later in ear, get the Shetland interested too and a few others, have a canter and banter - is it do'able in a day? Setting the scene for a few summer ones maybe.
PPPit PonyPP yes anything is do able in a day!!! They are Gogledd in the north PP, I have been with one all weekend and she can be scary! (well not really!) 3 weeks to Pen Y Fan and counting!!!
Watch you dont slip down the foxes path, as us Gogs call it !!!
MGM GCheers Marty I actually went up Minffordd Path to Penygadair, down to Cyfrwy and Pony Path, only to come back up via your Foxes Path and along to Mynydd Moel before dropping back down to car park. Belter of a day.
