I agree Jo. Maybe Forum & Invites so they can see what is being organised and how easy it would be to join in but profiles and photo should be more private

Maybe this site could make a special offer of a free 3 days or a week as a one off period to enable someone to get a real feel for what can be gained by participating.As other sites do from time to time.

I just don't like the idea of say a jealous ex watching what walks we could be going on and knowing we are away at certain weekends. I haven't looked at other sites but I'm sure you have to join to view profiles or as LR says get a few days free.
I think more people would put photos of themselves up knowing it was private.

I see what you're saying hillmale and I guess you're right but I also see Jo's point of view. Some Ex's can become stalkers but if that's the case maybe we should not put profile pictures up. An interested party could always ask you for one

I am more concerned with the fact that when an invitation is on the site you can tell who has signed up for it, which in itself may be OK, but if you had unwanted attention from someone (or a dodgy ex) they would know when you were not at home cos its advertised!!!!

Hi All. The thinking is simple. You won't "buy" unless you know what you're buying. Most people like to fondle the goods (so to speak) before they buy. Seeing the profiles is part of that. What they are paying for is great looking outdoorsy types - i.e. you lot! and the ability to contact them. You can now add extra profile pics that only paid up members can see.
