Having just returned from a weeks holiday at Little Langdale where the rain continued almost non stop until midday on Wednesday i am late with my thanks to Trekkie for organising a challenging,but fun weekend.Catering prize goes to Lets walk and a close second in the push me pull me contest across Henfoot Beck.A big thank you to everyone for making the whole weekend such a happy time with great company.Looking forward to meeting again in October

lalandranger68Thankfully the gale blew itself out otherwise i would have found it necessary to put a few rocks in my sack to complement the water in my boots.Had a good long day on Thursday,begining at Far Easedale onto Tarn Crag,Bell Knot,Blea Rigg Easedale Tarn & return to Grasmere.All cafe`s closed, so had no alternative to retreat to the Travelers Rest,how fortunate!!!

trtrekkieI have to say that the photo of your assisted crossing lifts my spirits eacn time I see it.
Both days were a great team effort by people who in many cases had never met before.
Hopefully others will be encouraged to take that step and come on their first walk with the group.
