One of the funniest mis-spellings I ever came across was when I was teaching in a primary school and a child had missed the letter n out of the word window and was writing about the Black Hole of Calcutta. She wrote,quote, all there was, was just one small widow and in the morning all the men were dead! It was pasted up on the staff notice board all term!!
