MAM TOR
by landranger68Thank you SG for organising a very challenging walk but pleased that i decided to not to venture further onto Lose Hill an just make a walk of 8 miles. The wind speed on Mam Tor summit was amazing,if i had sticking out ears i am sure i would have taken off,and thanks Rourky and others for dragging me back from a certain fall.Thank you all for making this a very rewarding day, good to see so many smiling faces. Strangers are friends that have never yet met.So sorry that i did unable to say goodbye, but at 17:35 i could not leave any later.I hope that everyone returned safely as i was getting concerned of your whereabouts as an ETA OF 16:30.Best wishes

Aye it was a bit breezy up there on Saturday. I was on a bit of a cheeky wild camp somewhere near the Hope Valley on Saturday night, was glad when we found somewhere to bivi down and put up a tarp.

Well what a weekend!!!! Lovely to catch up with some old faces and even better to meet and greet some new. Stargazer you made an old man very happy organising this one, it was a cracker. Glad everyone enjoyed it and got home safely. Look forward to catching up with some of you again soon. Thoughts must go out to the two shortest members of the group (you know who you are) as we missed your company and banter on Sunday, looking forward to walking with you again. Regards to all, Rourky.
RRourkylol <img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' /> hope you are not asking me x
Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks for such a warm welcome. The walk was brill and the company suitably matched. I certainly had a few laughs and I'm looking forward to my next walk already.
