Edale in search of ice sat 19 january

Hi new to this forum.Going to Edale this Saturday plan to do the Kinder crossing to the source of the Kinder river,then on to the Downfall.Should be frozen.{Dependent on the weather of course}all welcome. would love to have done this but its too short notice <img src='theme/emoticon_confused.png' /> its big snow here in lincolnshire so possibly be the same on kinder!

Sounds exciting but I am staying home this weekend. Would love to walk in the icy conditions but don't fancy the drive. My car has icicles hanging off it.

hello, did Edale up onto Kinder last Sunday it was frozen on top then<img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' /> Would be up for it but suspect roads down from Mam Tor may be closed. Will email you too<img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />

I work in Buxton and the snow really thick up here so be careful in Hayfield as snow really thick

Yes Ally,Total whiteout on top 30 - 40 mph wind. Good for compass practice. Hard going. Downfall frozen, a few climbers on the not fully formed downfall.Looked like they where top roping
