As with the saved search site admin it would make it more like a dating site and I think the majority of us prefer it as it is. Why spoil something beautiful or as some would say why fix it if it ain't broke! <img src='theme/emoticon_grin.png' />

The reality is that loads of people join to date rather than meet up with the "wild bunch"<img src='theme/emoticon_wink.png' />, then move on. I feel I'm not meeting their needs. Feeling bad. Must try harder ... as my teachers always said.

Don't see any reason why the site can't endeavor to cater for both Outdoor Friendships & Dating..... Choice is a good thing & it gives one the option to change your mind on how you want to pursue things. We are adults afterall & capable of being honest about what we want or are looking for.... <img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' /><img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' /><img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />

P.s. don't see the point of saved searches tho!!! Must be other more relevant facilities that can be added that would benefit us all <img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />

I think the site admin is doing great & the site seems to be all things to all men & women! The forum comments in themselves are entertaining, keep up the good work but if anyone has tweaks that will improve it even more then so much the better.

Looking at it from both viewpoints - I joined the site for dating a year ago, realised that it wasn't as focussed on dating as I'd hoped, and cancelled my subscription. Then joined a "normal" dating site, and found the contrived matching system frustrating, intimidating and frankly just unpleasant!! Realising that Site Admin had it right all along I rejoined OD - I would love to meet soemone special but feel the chances would be higher by meeting like minded people in a relaxed group with no pressure - and if Mr Right appears that's fab, if he doesn't then hey, I've got a load of new friends anyway. It's a win-win situation <img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' /><img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' /><img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />

All those who don't do any searches will probably not even notice that a saved search facility exists anyway......while it could be convenient for those who do wish to search. I can't really see any problem in introducing it, Steve.
