Grindleford walk
by landranger68Thanks andy for organising a challeging walk at times, especially over the Heather covered slog onto Bamford Edge. The views from Stanage Edge were stunning, pitty about the unplanned Mud Bath a few meters from the Trig point.
Thanks for lovely company and new friends gained,🙂 look forward to meeting up again.
A 9-10 mile walk turned out to be 14.1 to Bamford Station, including a one mile run to catch the train which just pulled in on our arrival🙂🙂

Thanks Andy for the walk, really enjoyed it although it certainly was more that 9-10 miles. I have measure it on the map being 14 miles to Hathersage and if we had actually got all the way back to Grindleford before the light faded it would have been 16 miles. Good to catch up with friends and to meet the new faces on OD 🙂
RaRick and Viv's AdventuresMy first walk in the peaks this year.Yes the twine I used for map measuring was Only 6 miles.Sorry for the miscalculation, we should have returned from Crow Chin.At least the weather got better as the day progressed.
wawanderer47Great walk, views and company, thanks Andy! After the mad dash to Bamford station I felt the same as Boo did on Sun 😀 !! Good on ya Jude - your timing's spot on!
