OUR BASH (PARTO UNO (UH?))

At Haworth in Yorks
we chilled with Sue,
all in all
a bloody good do!
We raised the roof and then our glasses
as Tony entertained the masses,
(smuggling champers up our jumpers
added spice to the gallivanting rumpus)
Those bow-tees twitched,
weaving magical spells
as perfume and glam
mixed with tuxes and gels,
we painted our nails and smoothed our hair,
then let our feet massage the air.
(As dancing turned into romancing
some unnamed guys their luck were chancing...)

Two days whooshed by
with drizzly mizzly
(there was a snorer from Distant Disley)

....jump to Part Two ..hee hee......

OUR BASH - DEUX.....

We filed singly, in the main
as chuffing by that wild ter-rain,
our dripping limbs just pubbed and cavorted,
laughed and cried, even snorted.
Two.... three groups, with mingling gyrations,
stretching all our imaginations.

We went home tired
but smiling inside,
so glad that we came
along for this ride.
So HAPPY NY to one and all,
preserve your dreams
and let joy call,
weaving a future
that's full of bliss,
so two-oh-one-4
can't be one to miss......

catwalker: For future reference (meant info☹) There wasn't a snorer from Disley. One should just assume it was poet's licence. In fact, when I got in the dorm, I put the ear plugs in first even before, taking out my cuff links which, must have taken about half an hour.

Yep ditto on all of the above I had such a good time lovely too meet so many interesting, fun people who don't take themselves too seriously, dressing up a must. Thanks Sue it was one of my best NYs, and thank you to new friends and old, once again a very special NY and CD lovely poem x
