What a day!! Blizzard conditions on the way to Pym Chair Car Park this morning, snow covered narrow lanes where my car was slipping all over the place, two car crashes, one of which involved today's walk leader (Andy) and the other involved Viv & Rick, who were also due to attend the walk! Nobody was hurt, thank god. Andy's car pulled free from a grassy bank by a kind farmer with a tractor, where it was balancing at a precarious angle on two wheels (I'm sure some photos will follow), while Viv & Rick's was towed away by a recovery van! Managed to get home in one piece and ended up eating lunch at home. Then went for a local wander to calm my nerves!😮

MTMiss T.....always an adventure wirh Andy.....was such an eventful day...but just so glad everyone was ok....and.....we still ended up in the pub...lol... 🙂 !!!!! X
JiJill18OMG. We were thinking of you all this morning - first when we woke up to find the lawn white over, and again as we drove over the tops to Holmfirth in a blizzard. Hope everyone has got home safely and you get chance to explore the lovely Goyt Valley again really soon 🙂

mimintyWell what can I say about today. Everything was going so well until Viv and I found that we were not in the right place for the walk start, after tip toeing through the snow in the car we came to the cat and fiddle pub, where we manage to get back on course, but after taking a turn down a steep lane to get to the walk start point the car lost control and mounted the embankment rolling us over onto one side. We escaped with just a few bruises. With the help of a passer by in 4x4 we managed to get back to the Cat and Fiddle and seek recovery of my car.

Glad to here no one was injured. Still a lot of snow up there and some new falling as well

Rick &viv..so glad that you are ok and hope that theres no damage to the car? ..it was unbelievable how quickly the snow came down and then vanished just as quickly!!
MHMountain Heathermountain heather: there was quite a lot of damage to the car unfortunately, it's now in the poorly car centre.
