Multi use coats advise please!

Hi all I am looking for advise on a new multi use waterproof coat - like The North Face Solaris Triclimate where it is very adaptable to changing weather conditions by unzipping parts of it etc.

I have been thinking about this for a while and as the weather is turning colder - plus the fact I am going up to the frozen north (lol) this weekend thought I might buy one tomorrow morning on the way.
