St Malo, Mont St Michel and Dinard - Sept 16
by Carpe Diem! With Di we travelled to St Malo,
in French we learnt to say "Hello!",
"Bonjour", "Bonsoir" and "Merci Beaucoup"...
yes, we felt real French
right through and through.
Now Dougie's beret's a real hit,
he wore it with panache and wit,
and Di she led us with focused allure
to beaches where the sand was pure.
We walked the coast and then some more,
and picnicked withy stuff from the store...
bananes, pommes, pain et fromage,
our feasts they grew,
became quite large!
And drink? Oh WOW,

on 12/09/16 @ 3:19our guide Jacques, talked and TALKED...at leisure,
he grinned and gabbled...but,
nous non comprenons,
so we nodded politely,
jus' strugglin' to catch on
to owt of his meaning,
as he gesticulated,
we smiled inside,
just feelin' elated
to be on this trip
to Mont St Michel,
the Abbey Supreme,
its clientele
from countries near,
and far as well,
les enfants, monsieurs et les mademoiselles,
who gazed in wonder
and spiritual awe,
and this church gazed back
its majesty secure,
as it sat on its rocks,
supreme in the landscape,
I just wanna take it,
an' give it a handshake......

CDCarpe Diem!So Di we thank
for our magical treat,
a splendid hotel,
so clean and so neat.
Her attention to detail,
was second to none,
yes, she did a FAB job
with poise and aplomb.
X Parfait!!!
I'll 2nd Head for the Hills comments. Thanks lots Diane 🙂. It was so lovely to meet with you all on my first trip / time out with OD. There was lots of fun and frivolity which made it such a lovely easy going weekend. I came home in such a good mood 🙂🙂🙂
