a world of charm and rich tapestry,
of dirhams and headscarves, of sunsets and sea,
that refreshes old rocks and feathery sand,
that stretches to meet high mountains, so grand,
sculpted by gods against the sky,
of azure splendour, with caves, so dry,
that offer respite from that blistering heat,
as wind and sun on your skin do compete,
yet night brings calm, 'til the chanting at dawn
signals an early start to the morn,
tall camels are woken, with grace they adhere,
to all they are told, yet their rights are unclear,
the cockerels crow, the ants run amok,
turbans go on and Moroccans take stock
of their mopeds and tools and their families' needs,
how many mouths they are having to feed,
how many tourists are looking fair game
to befriend, to entice, to explain why they're lame,
or pregnant, or bruised or needing more cash,
to sell some raw spices, fresh leather ...or hash?

a panorama of colour and light,
aesthetic beauty by day and by night,
courtyards and riads, breath taken away,
cushions and rugs done the African way,
with a style and charm so vivid and pure,
that leaves us yearning for more and more
of this timeless country, a gem to behold,
with stories unfurled and tales untold,
a wild cacophony of varied terrain,
yes, Morocco, we'll be back...
to see you again...

Wow Morocco!!!

It rhymes and mostly scans Jonathan, I will let you off. You didn't mention the working girls of Agadir.
Irena Bendova, Tatayana Sukova and not forgetting Olga from the Volga all controlled by Ivor Bollokov.

The high Atlas were a fantastic sight with the smattering of snow while we baked in the valley. Glad we finished the walk before it was really hot.
