My first Christmas Wander-enjoyed it greatly and thanks to Derek and Tracey for the organisation which must have taken ages. Really good meal in the evening as well - well done and thanks Kate for organising.

It were rate good fun. Congrats to the organisers, and I finally saw Eldon Hole and went up Eldon hill. 😀

What else can I say? Honoured to be ladies team captain, honoured to be amongst such enthusiastic, life affirming, joyous OD people who demonstrated healthy, high spirited and positive competition throughout. It was a close run thing. When Derek asked me to pick teams and said it was about throwing, I did and I believe the girls were by far the best throwers, their balls went far and wide above and around gates and walls. The men were however very skilled with their aim 🤪 Pete and I would have been happy to call it a drawer ( draw 😆 Tracey ) but it had to be done proper like and hats off to the men, well deserved. Much appreciation Derek and Tracey, it was a resounding success Xx

And Kate the evening arrangements were perfect. Great company, great ambience and great food x

Thank you all for attending and participating in a very eventful weekend!!🙂 I know it has been and continues to be a difficult time for quite a few of you with family illnesses and bereavements. It does you great credit to travel from all over the country and Wales to enjoy Christmas with your walking friends old and new. Thanks to Liz, Kate, Mike, Pete, Dale and Glyn for all their extra help before and throughout the weekend.🙂 Special thanks must go to Tracey and her lovely daughter Anna, who between them put in hours and hours of effort in so many ways to make this weekend work!!🙂

I will add my thanks to Derek, Tracey, Kate and Mike ( for the naughty table!) both captains but particularly to Dale for being a supportive Women’s captain and providing chocolates - just wondering as it was a draw - what happening to the guys being deducted half a point for cheating - us girls weren’t!

Derek,Tracey thanks for a great dry day out with the festive crowd. Things are looking up. I managed to guess one right answer. That's one more than last year. Too young to have met George V (I know I know) but old enough to remember all his descendents. 🤔:

Loved all the capers and despite hating running, I got carried away and joined in. More tactics will need to be employed next year to stop the whippets in the men's team! Thanks Derek and Tracey for all your hard work to keep us unruly rabble entertained. I have tried some of the quiz questions on my friends and they appear thicker than me ( what a relief). 😉
Thanks Mike for allowing us to join the naughty table for food, much appreciated. Off now to practice my throwing for next year........😀

I would like to say thanks to everyone who made me feel so welcome to the group on Saturday. I had an amazing time and enjoyed every step. The surprise singing contest and subsequent audience in the square was brilliant!! Merry Christmas to everyone and now I am a fully fledged member I look forward to many more activities in 2020.
