Jo and Babs cycle blog
by Ultreia (Jo & Alan)Due to unforeseen circumstances myself and Babs are now going across the country on our own, with no planned route. So we have decided to give you a day by day account of our adventures.
We are now in Scarborough armed with a map we have just bought, and a phone hoping to tell us which way to go. Tomorrow we are hoping to get to Hemsley in 52 miles. Watch this space.

MGM GWell the end of our first day, and we have cycled 58 miles because we decided to stick to the white bits no the map! Bananas are definitely required for tomorrow! Anybody know where we can get discount on a box, or extra large Compeed!
mimilvusWell done you two, take it the white bits turned out to be roads then

Day two of our cycling. We have managed 39 miles today of undulating hills (I know what that means now) and it took us all day. All went well till we hit the A1 and we was getting beeped at constantly. Couldn't get off there quick enough as worried for our safety and wasn't sure if we should have been in it. Finished off in a lovely B&B which should be better than last nights YHA. Thelma and Louise (I wish)
UJUltreia (Jo & Alan)I hope it was not the A1M,enjoy every minuet

RRourkyDay 4 :- woke up to torrential rain and cycle for 4 hours, going up and down the moors and peaks. My computer got that wet it stopped working but I would say we did at least 50 miles.
on 06/07/12 @ 16:26What a sight to see the sea at Carnforth we felt emotional as we had managed with A to Z across the country on our own. One day left to finish our epic journey.

According to the cycle computer we have covered 230 miles through country roads and admittedly getting lost now and again.
