Christmas Weekend
by The Mind is WillingNow so many more have aquired map reading skills can we have some volunteers to lead the walks on Saturday & Sunday. As a guide I would suggest we have a stronger/longer walk and a gentle/shorter walk each day.

on 06/09/12 @ 13:52Hi Cat,Christine is right.Choose a route and discuss it beforehand. There is always someone to talk it through and also part of the group.Have no fears of making mistakes,as there is not one walker who has led or followed a group into a place they never expected to be
lalandranger68Well catwalker you could try leading the shorter walk if you want the practice. But you're not slow. Actually people often lead from the middle or back. Everyone stops when there is a fork in the path or a decision to be made. So so long as you know where the turns should be it shouldn't be a problem.
on 07/09/12 @ 9:01For those coming who don't want a long or hard walk I have a couple of suggestions one being the Chatsworth Estate which you could also include a visit to the house in the walk to make the day pan out more. I'll have some written directions if anyone is interested
