Oh poor you Frankie. This is going to run for some time I'm afraid. It was a corker though. You are soooo lucky there was no photographic evidence

If he did, he wouldn't do it as gracefully as Frankie

Maybe this forum can be the venue for folks to let us know about their most embarassing falls?

Mine was a nearly fall down the stone steps of the amphitheatre at Verona while watching Aida. In short, some friends assisted in getting me drunk in between acts, so when I stood up I apparently collapsed, was caught and driven off in an ambulance to Verona hospital to spend the night on a drip. I then had to spend all my 100 + Euros on a taxi to take me back to the hotel.
Please don't offer me white wine, thank you.

I was trying to climb over a laddered stile, had muddy boots & slipped backwards down a slope just as a group of walkers arrived behind me

Hey BJ, I did that one walking with the Ramblers a few weeks ago.I was able to offer my foam mat to someone without at the picnic stop, since my back was covered in mud.

I have a lovely dent in my metal flask after slipping on "green" steps down a railway embankment & my rucksack almost softened my fall, sort of a walk wound, wouldnt swop that flask for the world

Not most embarrassing fall, but embarrassing wild camp experience in the Pyrenees was having a 'private moment' among some boulders when a helicopter appeared out of nowhere landed almost next to me and 3 Spaniards jumped out and marched almost past me. I had managed to stand up but was holding the incriminating roll of toilet paper as they strode by cheerfully calling Hola!! For the rest of the holiday I kept a careful look out for the poo police!!!
