An amazing adventure
by Ally & DaveOn 17 May our great friend Mark Berry will set out on an incredible adventure to run the 630-mile South West Coastal Path, hopefully breaking the current record of 14 days in the process. This is an enormous and courageous undertaking, and Ally & I are honoured to be two-thirds of Mark's support team (along with wife Lorraine) for the full trip. Mark is raising money for CALM, a charity which works to prevent suicide amongst young men. If you'd like to follow Mark's progress before and during his epic adventure, please "like" his FB page (link below). And if you can help Mark raise £10 per mile by sparing a few quid, that would be fabulous. Thank you all.

PS. If there are any ODers who live along the route and would like to support Mark in any way, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
ADAlly & DaveI walked this in two sections alone in 2011/2 and found it an amazing walk.Sadly the weather has taken given this coast a beating over a couple of years.
lalandranger68The number of ferry crossings were very interesting especially the Cockleridge to Bantam and really lovely area. really hope he will not be too tired to enjoy each day🙂
Wow. Clearly nuts. Have dropped him a few squid. If you have a location for the next days run as he goes along let us all know so we can keep track of progress.
Cheers site admin for the donation, will update as much as possible!Come on ODers, every little helps. This is a MASSIVE challenge by a lovely man. Male suicide is the BIGGEST killer of men between ages of 25-45. He is doing it for a fantastic cause.
on 13/04/15 @ 7:21When you are out walking with aching legs and blisters spare a thought for Mark who will be attempting to run 627 miles in under 13 days!Lets help him raise his target of ?6000.
Thank you,
Many thanks to those who of you who have donated, even without having ever met Mark (although you may remember him as "the other orange dot" on that bizarre weekend of Spine tracking in January last year).
