Ok. I'm going to say sorry first and give my apologies to anyone that may be offended here but I feel I need to say this.

Hi siite admin. We all voted for our favourite photo. When I clicked on I tried to hit star no 5 but no vote was registering. So I just bashed the stars until the vote was recognised. Many I know did the same! We were watching TC v MATT and couldn't believe the winner!! And while I am at it I really think the photo section needs to be addressed!

If we attend an event we should be able to add our pics of such to a folder for all attendees to see. Apparently this is a basic web process. We have to load photos one by one and as more go on we miss the ones we want to see!!

P.s. Only so many characters!!! Matt you got the most votes and even though HD won ( also fantastic photo by the way) you should be holding the cup! And I truly believe that everyone else thought the same hence why there was a comp between you and the lovey Tina!

Zaphod Beeblebrox: Its an average of all ratings, if 100 people vote 2 stars then it gets 2 stars. If one person votes 5 stars and no else votes, its still five stars. The whole thing is really "highest rated" rather than most votes. It requires a little thought and honesty on behalf of the judges i.e. youze lot. 🙂

It also means a late entry still has a fair chance as time served early runners don't just sweep up because they have been seen by more people.

Elderflower: The pictures section does need a little work. 😮

The code was written in the days before folder and "in page" uploads were really possible and it is time to rethink the back end. If you have any thoughts just drop me an email 🙂

Well done Terry, I loved all the photos you posted. I think the rating system works well although if someone entered a pic at the 11th hour and one person gave it five stars, that wouldn't be so good! I did think it was funny how Matt's lovely pic got more votes than mine in the end, I reckon there were some behind the scenes deals being done 😉😉😉 Anyway thank you again for voting for my pic, which I entered because I thought it said something about the friendships that develop though OD - but Terry's, Rourky's and Top Spot's and all the other landscapes, Blue John's field etc were much better photos. Let's have more entries next year, get out there and get clicking!
