Don't search for login pages on Google - its dangerous!
by Former Site AdminI note that some people are typing "outdoor duo login" into google to find the login page for this site. In this case its probably OK, but for other sites you could lose big time.
Here's a true story:
A friend's hubby typed "Barclays bank login" into google and then clicked the first page to come up. 🤔 Guess what - it wasn't the genuine Barclays login page, it was a criminal site. 😮 They grabbed his log in details then gathered other info they might need through a form. They then gave him a login error page and transferred him to the real login page - he was none the wiser. Their mother was in a home so her bank accounts were linked to theirs, and they had just sold her house. Mega bucks sitting in an account! All the money was transferred abroad!

Luckily the crims did a test transfer of a few pounds at the beginning and his wife saw the transaction pop up on her phone (she had set up an alert). She rang the bank, discussed it with someone, and asked them to stop all internet transfers. 🙂
on 03/06/20 @ 6:08The crims rang the bank when their transfers were stopped and using the extra info they had collected they convinced the customer service person they were the hubby. All the money was cleared to leave and vamouse! ☹😮
Thankfully numerous calls to the bank (and visits to the lawers) later the bank accepted that she had rung them and told them to stop everything after the first dodgy test transfer. The bank accepted their responsibilty and all the money was returned to the two accounts. 😀 The crims still had their share though ...
on 03/06/20 @ 6:13The moral of this story?
on 03/06/20 @ 6:17Don't visit a site you know through Google search. Especially banks, PayPal, ebay etc where you spend/have money and have a saved card.
Use the address bar - that bar at the top of the browser with https://yadayada in it. Most browsers "remember" the sites you visited, so you only need to type the first part of the name then pick it off the list.
For OD login type
outdoorduo.co.uk/myprofile
or just
outdoorduo.co.uk
into the address bar. Job done. No crims inserting themselves into your life. 😇
🙂🙂
